Ownership & Care
Designed for frequent use
Gearrista is designed for consistent use after every ride. The system operates with controlled rotation and defined surface interaction, making frequent operation an intended part of the design.
Normal operation
During operation, the system performs controlled brushing of the chain and cassette surfaces.
Light operational sound from brush and drivetrain contact is normal and expected. It is the users responsibility to ensure, that the brush does not touch the frame or cabling, by adjusting the system.
What the system removes
Gearrista removes surface particles such as dust, fine debris and early-stage wear particles before they accumulate within the drivetrain.
What the system does not do
Gearrista does not replace deep cleaning and does not remove hardened grease or heavy buildup.
Periodic inspection and deeper maintenance remain part of a responsible drivetrain care.
Brush wear and replacement
Brushes are precision components designed for controlled wear. Over time, gradual wear will occur and replacement is required to maintain defined contact characteristics. Replacement is typically required every 8–12 months depending on frequency of use.
Care of the machine
Keep the system dry and free from external debris. External surfaces may be wiped with a dry or slightly damp cloth if necessary.
Storage
Store Gearrista indoors in a dry environment. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, dust accumulation, or extreme temperatures.
Responsible use
Use the system only as intended and in accordance with the principles described in this document.
Improper use, modification, or operation outside the intended purpose may affect performance and longevity. Preventive maintenance is most effective when performed consistently. Ownership of Gearrista represents a routine - not a single action.
Wear versus defect
Normal wear resulting from regular use, including wear of consumable components such as brushes, is not considered a defect. Manufacturing defects are addressed under the Warranty.
Liability
Gearrista ApS shall not be liable for damage or reduced performance resulting from improper use, modification, or operation outside intended use, except where liability cannot be excluded under mandatory law.
Relation to Warranty
Correct use and maintenance in accordance with this document is a condition for warranty coverage, as described in the Warranty.
